My Review

Loved it, loved it, loved it! This is definitely one of my top reads this year. Even though I as the reader, was reading what was happening and who was right and wrong, the feeling of suspense and mystery is strong. Why are the characters acting the way they are? What is the motive? What will the outcome be?

Tina is a strong, capable and professional woman, but all that seems to go out of the window when Megan arrives on the scene. She becomes paranoid and erratic, and her actions do not help people to believe her side of the story. I felt like shouting at her to just calm down a lot of the time.

Sadie Ryan is really talented and has written a novel that I absolutely loved reading. I whizzed through it at super sonic speed because I just had to know what the outcome and fall out was going to be. This is a story chocker block with mystery, lies, secrets and doubt. I truly can't wait to read more from Sadie Ryan, her writing style is right up my street. She builds the tension throughout and finishes the story in an excellent way. Behind Closed Doors is an absolute cracker of a debut novel and has a slight feel of Single White Female (one of my favourite films!).
