From the USA Today bestselling author of My Sister Is Missing

Someone took her.
Unless she was she never there…

Has Nova’s abusive ex stolen his “little bunny” back for good?
At first, Officer Ellie James assumes this is a clear custody battle. Until she discovers that there are no pictures of the girl and her drawers are full of unused toys and brand new clothes that have never been worn…
Is Ellie searching for a missing child who doesn’t actually exist?

My Review

After reading the description for Without A Trace, I knew this was definitely a book for me. I was so right, from start to finish I was hooked!
The story is told from three women's perspectives. Nova, the mother, Clara, the neighbour and Ellie, the cop. All three women were great to read about, each have there own thoughts about what is going on. After Nova's daughter goes missing she is in a panic. She is absolutely convinced it has something to do with her abusive ex. Ellie is trying to work out what is going on and where the little girl is. A job made more challenging by her not really getting along with some of her colleagues. I found the narrative of Clara to be the most intriguing, she wants to know what the story is with her mysterious neighbour and her missing daughter.
At various points whilst reading I was thinking "WTF, is going on?!" I was desperate to know what had happened to the little girl and if she even existed. All of the separate strands of this story led to an ending that had me flipping the pages so quickly to find out the conclusion of the story.
Without A Trace is an outstanding mystery/thriller and I absolutely loved it. It was a twisty delight of a read. I was drawn into the book from the first chapter. Carissa Ann Lynch is an excellent story teller and Without A Trace really packs a punch. A fast paced read, with short snappy chapters meaning I whizzed through it. I haven't read any of Carissa Ann Lynch's work before, but I think I may have found a new author to add to my favourite list.
