The Boss by Caz Finlay - Blog Tour Review

He’s inside.

She’s running the family.

But now he’s back – only one can boss the streets of Liverpool.

The first novel in an explosive new gangland crime series.
As the daughter of a notorious Liverpudlian gangster, Grace Sumner commands respect – and she’s earned it on her own terms too.
But when her dangerous ex-husband Nathan Conlon is released from prison, Grace risks losing everything she’s worked hard to build up whilst he's been inside – including Nathan's own criminal empire.
Nathan's changed in prison, but old habits die hard. He makes it clear he wants his old life back, including his wife. And nothing or no one will get in his way…
Nathan’s out for blood. Grace is out for revenge. And only one can come out on top.

My Review
So I am going to struggle to find the appropriate words to describe why I absolutely loved this book! I just love when I pick up a debut novel and I just know I am going to enjoy every other book they go on to write. I was hooked from the first page and gripped throughout. Caz Finlay is excellent at writing in this genre. As some of you may know I am a big fan on Martina Cole, and after reading The Boss I can honestly say Caz Finlay is going to be another of my favourites. She is definitely one to watch out for.
I do like a book featuring a strong woman, and Grace is certainly that. She is tough and determined and doesn't take crap from anyone, least of all her low-life ex. When Nate, her ex, crashes back into her life following his release from prison, he is under the impression she is still the same Grace he once knew. Boy is he wrong! She will stand her ground and protect her son and the empire she has built, whatever it takes.
The Boss is an all round superb read. With strong characters, a gripping plot and outstanding writing, it is a must read and I totally recommend it. Caz Finlay has a super talent and I am so excited to see what she has to offer in her next book.
Thank you to publishers for a digital Arc of The Boss to read and review as part of the blog tour.
