Into The Silent Sea by Claire Stibbe - Blog Tour

Dangerous is one thing. Deadly is something else. When Clodagh Shepherd's curiosity gives way to obsession, her thoughts turn to revenge. In the wake of her husband's affair and subsequent disappearance, Clo makes an impulsive decision to befriend the beautiful stranger who has stolen her life. Answering an ad for a home help, she moves into the home of her husband's mistress and is immediately drawn into the chilling reality behind the idyllic fa├žade of Hampton's life. Central to her terrifying nightmare is a deadly secret--a secret someone will kill to keep. In this dark and twisting thriller, Clo proves the adage 'hell hath no fury like a woman scorned' with shocking consequences.

My Review
After reading the description of this book I thought it might be a typical woman scorned story, but it turned into something very different and it had me gripped.
The first part of the story is a slow build-up, showing the build up to events and why Clo is doing what she is. But that second part of the book! I read it one sitting, an action packed and tense thriller.
Clo has become obsessed with the woman who is having an affair with her husband. I loved the things she did to infiltrate her way into her love rivals life. Although I did catch myself wondering why she was so bothered, her husband wasn't exactly a top prize! I wanted to shake Clo and say just let him go, he is no good anyway. But Clo can't seem to let him go without a fight.
Once Clo actually gets into the home, things escalate and she finds herself in a strange and disturbing home. This was my favourite part of Into The Silent Sea, everything that happens in the house that has many secrets.
I would certainly recommend Into The Silent Sea if you are a fan of thrillers.
Thank you to Anne Cater for an Arc of this book in return for an honest review and letting me take part in the blog tour for Into The Silent Sea. To find out what others thought follow along and read others reviews. Dates and bloggers below.
