Signs in the Rearview Mirror: Leaving A Toxic Relationship Behind
What kind of person ends up in a toxic relationship? And why does she stay? This searingly honest novel answers both those questions head-on. Coming out of a failing marriage, Kelly turns to Gabe out of fear of being alone. Her gradual slide into danger is at once terrifying and inevitable, and the steps she takes to get out of it will both inspire and offer hope.

My Review

This is a brilliant honest account of being in a toxic relationship. Kelly talks about the signs that she should of noticed and left at that time. It made me think of my own past relationships and things that I should have noticed myself.

I enjoyed the fact that the author was so honest and doesn't sugar coat anything, even her own mistakes are spoke about and acknowledged. She speaks openly about every aspect of her life, including her marriage to her ex husband, who she was in the middle of separating from at the time she met Gabe. She also shares details about her troubled relationship with her mother and father.

Reading this book, you can really learn something about how a toxic relationship can show early red flags. That you should listen to these warning feelings, even little niggles can become something much bigger and troubling.
